Version: 1.0 Effective date: October 9, 2026 Last updated: October 18, 2026
This document has two parts:
- Part A — Text Messaging Terms for Clients. These apply to anyone who opts in to receive text messages from a business that uses GlamOps. This is the "Terms" page linked from Booking Sites and submitted for toll-free number verification.
- Part B — Messaging Rules for Businesses. These apply to every business that sends email or text messages through GlamOps. They form part of the GlamOps Terms of Service (https://glamops.net/legal/terms) and Acceptable Use Policy (https://glamops.net/legal/acceptable-use) as feature-specific terms.
Part A — Text Messaging Terms for Clients
A1. The program
A1.1 Who sends the texts. Texts come from the beauty business you booked with (the "Business"). The Business uses GlamOps, a software provider operated by GlamOps LLC, to send them. Each Business sends from its own toll-free number.
A1.2 What you will receive. If you opt in, the Business may send you:
- (a) appointment messages: booking confirmations, reminders, changes, form requests, and receipts; and
- (b) marketing messages: offers, openings, promotions, and news from the Business.
If you choose "reminders only," you will receive only appointment messages.
A1.3 Program name. The Business's name, followed by "Appointment & Offers Texts."
A2. How you opt in
You opt in by checking the text message box on the Business's booking form or in the "My appointments" Client Portal, and then replying YES to the confirmation text we send you. You will not receive marketing texts unless you do both.
Consent is not a condition of booking or buying anything. You can book without opting in to texts.
A3. How often
Message frequency varies. You will receive up to 4 messages per month, plus messages about your own appointments.
A4. Cost
Msg & data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier's standard messaging and data rates apply. Neither the Business nor GlamOps charges you for texts.
A5. How to stop
Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving texts from that Business. You can also reply QUIT, CANCEL, END, UNSUBSCRIBE, REVOKE, or OPT OUT, or tell the Business in another reasonable way. You will receive one final message confirming you are unsubscribed, and then no more texts from that Business, including appointment reminders sent by text. You will still get appointment emails.
To start again, reply START or opt in again through the booking form or Client Portal.
Opting out from one Business does not opt you out from other businesses that use GlamOps, because each Business runs its own text program.
A6. Help
Reply HELP to any text for help. You can also contact the Business using the contact details on its Booking Site, or GlamOps at admin@glamops.net.
A7. Supported carriers; carriers not liable
Texts are available only to US mobile numbers, on major US carriers and most regional carriers. Not all phones or carriers are supported. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Delivery is not guaranteed. Texts can be delayed or not delivered because of carrier issues, coverage, or other things outside our control. Do not rely only on a text reminder for your appointment.
A8. Your phone number
A8.1 Your number only. Only opt in with a mobile number that you own or are authorized to use.
A8.2 If you change your number. If you change or give up your number, reply STOP from your old number first or update it in the Client Portal. When you change the number on file, your text opt-in ends and you will need to opt in again on the new number.
A9. Privacy
The Business decides how your information is used. GlamOps processes your phone number, opt-in records, and messages on the Business's behalf to run this program. Your mobile number and text opt-in will not be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes. Information is shared only with service providers that help deliver messages (such as Twilio), as required by law, or as described in the privacy policies.
- The Business's privacy notice: linked in the footer of its Booking Site
- GlamOps Privacy Policy: https://glamops.net/legal/privacy
A10. Age
You must be at least 18 years old to opt in to text messages.
A11. Changes
The Business or GlamOps may change these terms. If a change is material, you will be told before it applies to you. You can always opt out by replying STOP.
A12. Contact
- The Business: see the contact details on its Booking Site and in your appointment confirmation.
- Platform provider: GlamOps LLC, admin@glamops.net.
Part B — Messaging Rules for Businesses
These rules apply to every email and text you send through GlamOps. They are part of the GlamOps Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy. Breaking them can lead to messages being blocked, your messaging being paused, or your account being suspended.
GlamOps builds many of these rules into the product. But you are the sender of your messages, and you are legally responsible for them. US law, including the federal TCPA, CAN-SPAM, and state laws, can hold both the business promoted in a message and the company that sends it responsible, and that responsibility cannot be passed to someone else by contract.
B1. Your responsibilities
You agree that:
- (a) you write, choose the recipients of, and schedule your messages, and you review and approve any draft that GlamOps or Concierge suggests before it is sent;
- (b) every message you send is accurate and not misleading;
- (c) you follow all laws that apply to your messages, including the TCPA, CAN-SPAM, and state telemarketing, text, and email laws, and register where a state requires it;
- (d) you follow the Twilio Messaging Policy and Acceptable Use Policy, the Resend Acceptable Use Policy, and mobile carrier and CTIA guidelines, which GlamOps must also follow; and
- (e) the business information you give GlamOps for toll-free number verification (legal business name exactly as on your IRS records, EIN or sole proprietor status, business address, website, and contact) is true and current.
B2. Consent for text messages
B2.1 Marketing texts need written consent. You may send marketing texts only to Clients who gave prior express written consent through GlamOps's text opt-in: the checkbox on your booking form or Client Portal, followed by a YES reply.
B2.2 Appointment texts need consent too. Appointment reminders and other informational texts need at least the Client's prior express consent. In GlamOps, all texts go only to Clients who have completed the opt-in.
B2.3 Consent is yours. Consent is specific to your business. You may not use consent given to another business, and you may not buy, sell, rent, share, or transfer consent.
B2.4 No importing text consent. Clients you import from another system, a spreadsheet, or your phone are never subscribed to texts. They must opt in through GlamOps. You may invite them to opt in by email or in person, but you may not text them first to ask.
B2.5 No purchased or scraped lists. You may not upload or message purchased, rented, scraped, or third-party lists, or people you have no relationship with.
B2.6 No adding people yourself. You may not mark a Client as opted in to texts, or re-add a Client who opted out. Only the Client can opt in.
B2.7 Number changes. When a Client's phone number changes, their text consent ends and they must opt in again.
B2.8 Proof of consent. GlamOps keeps consent records (date, time, method, the exact checkbox text, IP address, phone number, and the YES reply) on your behalf. You agree these records are the system of record for your text program, and that GlamOps may provide them to Twilio, mobile carriers, or regulators on request, as Twilio's policy requires.
B3. Consent for email
B3.1 Booking emails. Confirmations, reminders, receipts, form requests, and other messages about an appointment a Client booked are transactional. Keep them free of promotions. Adding offers to a reminder can turn it into a marketing message under the law.
B3.2 Marketing emails. You may send marketing emails only to Clients who have not unsubscribed and who either checked the email opt-in box on your booking form or in the Client Portal, or told you they agree to receive them and whom you recorded as agreeing in GlamOps (one by one, or for an imported list everyone on which agreed). When you record consent you confirm it is true and you can show it if asked; GlamOps logs who recorded it and when. You can't record consent for a Client who unsubscribed, bounced, or marked a message as spam: only they can sign up again.
B3.3 Required content in every marketing email. GlamOps adds these automatically, and you may not remove or hide them:
- (a) your business name in the "From" line, followed by "via GlamOps", and accurate header and reply-to information. Your business name may not imitate GlamOps, a bank, a payment service or another company;
- (b) a subject line that accurately reflects the content;
- (c) a clear statement that the message is an advertisement or promotion, where required;
- (d) a valid physical postal address for your business. This can be your street address, a PO box registered with the US Postal Service, or a private mailbox registered under Postal Service rules, if you do not want to show your home address; and
- (e) a working unsubscribe link, and one-click unsubscribe headers.
B3.4 Unsubscribes. GlamOps processes unsubscribes immediately. This is faster than the 10 business days CAN-SPAM allows, the 7 days Resend requires, and the 2 days Gmail expects. You may not re-subscribe someone who unsubscribed unless they opt in again themselves.
B3.5 Subject lines. Do not use false urgency. For example, do not say "today only" or "ends tonight" if you might extend the offer. Washington's Commercial Electronic Mail Act allows claims over inaccurate subject lines sent to Washington residents.
B3.6 Complaint and bounce rates. If your emails cause high spam complaint or bounce rates, GlamOps may pause your email sending. GlamOps pauses campaigns automatically when, over two weeks, more than 5% of at least 50 marketing emails bounce or are reported as spam, or 3 are reported as spam. Links in marketing emails may go only to your GlamOps pages, your own connected domain, and major social and map sites. Resend's limits are complaints under 0.08% and bounces under 4%.
B4. Quiet hours for marketing texts
B4.1 Default window. GlamOps sends marketing texts only between 9:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. in the recipient's local time, based on the Client's address or area code, plus the Sunday and holiday rules in B4.3. Messages scheduled outside this window are held until the next allowed time.
B4.2 Why this window. Several states have narrower calling and texting hours than the 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. window commonly used under federal rules. Based on GlamOps's research (to be confirmed by counsel), these include:
| State | Hours (recipient's local time) | Other limits |
|---|---|---|
| Florida | 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. | No more than 3 sales messages on the same subject in 24 hours (whether this applies to texts is unsettled) |
| Oklahoma | 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. | No more than 3 sales messages in 24 hours |
| Maryland | 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. | No more than 3 solicitation calls or texts on the same subject in 24 hours |
| Oregon | 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. | No more than 3 solicitations in 24 hours unless there is an established business relationship; texts covered since Jan. 1, 2026 |
| Washington | 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. | Marketing texts need prior affirmative consent |
| Connecticut | 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. | Written consent for all marketing texts |
| Texas | 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. Mon–Sat; noon – 9 p.m. Sunday | Possible registration requirement (see B9) |
| Virginia | 8 a.m. – 9 p.m. unless the consumer gave prior consent | Opt-outs must be honored for 10 years |
| New York | 8 a.m. – 9 p.m. | |
| Rhode Island | 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. weekdays | No sales on Sundays or holidays |
| Alabama, Louisiana | 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. | No sales on Sundays or holidays |
| Mississippi, Utah | No sales on Sundays |
B4.3 Sundays and holidays. GlamOps does not send marketing texts on Sundays or federal holidays to any Client, and follows Rhode Island's 6 p.m. weekday end for Clients in Rhode Island.
B4.4 Appointment messages. Appointment reminders may be sent outside this window when needed (for example, an early-morning reminder for an early appointment), but GlamOps does not send them between 9 p.m. and 8 a.m.
B5. Frequency limits
B5.1 Monthly limit. Each Client receives no more than 4 marketing texts per month from your business. This number is shown to Clients when they opt in, so it cannot be raised without new consent.
B5.2 Daily limit. GlamOps sends no more than 1 marketing text per Client per day. This is well below the 3-in-24-hours limit in Florida, Oklahoma, Maryland, and Oregon.
B6. Content rules
You may not send messages that:
- (a) involve SHAFT content: sex or adult content, hate, alcohol, firearms, or tobacco and vaping (for example, "wine and facials" promotions);
- (b) sell or promote cannabis or CBD, prescription drugs, or prescription-only treatments (for example, injectables or tretinoin), or pseudo-pharmaceuticals;
- (c) make false, exaggerated, or unsupported health or results claims (for example, "cures acne");
- (d) involve gambling, loans, debt relief, get-rich-quick, or multi-level marketing offers;
- (e) are hateful, harassing, threatening, or illegal;
- (f) impersonate another person or business, or hide who is sending;
- (g) use link shorteners from public services, misspelled opt-out words, or other tricks to avoid carrier filters, or spread sending across numbers to avoid limits ("snowshoeing"); or
- (h) include sensitive information such as a Client's health details in a text.
B7. Identifying yourself and opt-out language
B7.1 Every text must start with your business name.
B7.2 The first text a Client receives, and at least one marketing text each month, must include "Reply STOP to opt out" or similar. GlamOps adds this automatically.
B7.3 GlamOps handles STOP, HELP, and START replies automatically. You may not disable this.
B8. Opt-outs
B8.1 Immediate. GlamOps processes text opt-outs immediately, which is faster than the 10 business days allowed under federal rules. An opt-out stops all texts from your business to that Client, including reminders.
B8.2 Any reasonable method. If a Client tells you in another way that they want to stop (for example, in person, by email, or with a reply like "please stop texting me"), you must mark them as opted out in GlamOps right away.
B8.3 Kept for 10 years. GlamOps keeps opt-out records for at least 10 years, including after your account closes, so that a Client who opted out is not messaged again. Virginia requires opt-outs to be honored for 10 years. GlamOps keeps consent records for at least 5 years after the last message sent in reliance on them (longer if a claim is pending).
B9. State registration
Some states require businesses that send marketing texts to register. For example, Texas's law (effective September 1, 2025) added texts to "telephone solicitation" and has a registration requirement, though it is unsettled whether it applies to consent-based texts. You are responsible for checking and meeting any registration requirement that applies to you.
B10. Toll-free number verification
B10.1 GlamOps provides each business with its own toll-free number and submits a verification request to Twilio on your behalf. Texts cannot be sent until the number is verified.
B10.2 You authorize GlamOps to submit your business details, sample messages, opt-in description and screenshot, and links to your text terms and privacy notice, and to describe your program as appointment reminders and promotional messages, up to 4 messages per month per Client.
B10.3 If the legal business name and EIN you provide do not match IRS records, verification may be rejected. If you do not have an EIN, you can apply as a sole proprietor. Never enter your Social Security number.
B11. GlamOps's rights
GlamOps may, without liability to you:
- (a) block, delay, or limit messages that appear to break these rules;
- (b) pause your text or email sending if complaint rates, opt-out rates, or bounce rates are high, or if Twilio, Resend, a carrier, or a regulator raises a concern;
- (c) review message content and consent records to investigate a complaint;
- (d) give consent and opt-out records to Twilio, carriers, Resend, or regulators when they ask; and
- (e) suspend or end your messaging or your account for serious or repeated violations.
B12. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify GlamOps against claims arising from messages you send, the recipients you choose, or your breach of these rules, as set out in Section 23 of the Terms of Service (https://glamops.net/legal/terms).
B13. Changes
GlamOps may update these rules as laws and carrier requirements change. Changes required by law, carriers, Twilio, or Resend may take effect immediately.
